SHBX Contest: Follow Us On Twitter? You could win FREE KICKS if you and your peeps do!

As we all know, Twitter is indeed what’s poppin in these innanet skreetz.  I check the SneakHerbox twitter account on a daily and I keep looking at our follower count and thinking “hey, what gives?” So I had one of those Windows 7 commercial moments "What if held a contest to get more followers?!?" Essentially this contest will help expand the SHBX movement online by getting your twitter friends and their twitter friends associated with the site and our twitter page.  I know by now you’re thinking, “Oh, so what the hell am I getting out of this?” Wellz, seeing how I KNOW how much you love the site ALREADY and you’d probably do this without any incentive lol, I figured I’m going to reward you with, what else, free kicks! Wellz, free kicks in the sense that the winner will receive a gift card to Nike.com (and no, this is not sponsored by Nike, I’m footing the bill on this chea contest b/c I loves ya’ll J ).  Sounds good, right? Well read further to find out how you can enter to win:

-You will be essentially racing against time and the other participants to be the first person to get 30 SNEAKER followers to follow @SneakHerbox – that’s the key here – not just your random Kim Keisha and Pam followers (no shade to them of course) but since this is a sneaker site and a sneaker contest, its only right.
-On Tuesday, September 7th, sign up for participation in the contest via the Contact Box on the www.sneakherbox.com and follow @SneakHerbox on twitter (you will only be able to sign up on that day and that day only)
-Provide your full name, twitter username, sneaker size, and email address
-On Wednesday, September 8th  - a list of participants will be listed on www.sneakherbox.com and the contest will officially begin.
-Your followers will have to send a tweet saying “I am following @Sneakherbox thanks to (your twitter username)”
-First participant to get 30 Sneaker Specific Followers to follow @SneakHerbox will win a $100 giftcard to NDC.
-If all 30 of your sneaker followers are female – then you receive a $150 giftcard instead.

MOST IMPORTANTLY
Participants cannot use other participants as part of their follower count

What's New @ NDC: Air Max 90 Girls - Black/White - Voltage Cherry - Metallic Silver

A new girl’s AM90 just hit NDC featuring a voltage cherry and black outfit similar to that of the upcoming AJ13 releasing this December.  Patent leather and leather come together on the upper, side panel and accent.  Metallic silver polishes the accent surrounding the air unit – which just so happens to be voltage cherry, as is the lining.  White laces, midsole, and signature swoosh complete the look and have me going WOWZERS! Very fresh color blocking, Nike.  Little ladies and small foot syndrome members are going to love these! Available now for a moderately priced 75 bucks – hit up NDC right nao to order your pair! Additional pic after the jump.

Air Jordan 1 "Anodized" GS - Glass Blue & Voltage Cherry - Holiday 2010

In the past two years, we've seen numerous Air Jordan 1 Retros drop for both men and children, and a lot of us were feeling that the model should get a rest - even if for just a little while.  Well, I'd say its been a good 6 to 8 months since we've been bombarded with 1s releases, so I was pleased to see the above pictured GS retro Air Jordan 1s set to drop as part of Jordan Brand's Holiday 2010 collection.  This time around, the iconic model gets an "anodized" treatment, which gives the shoe a certain sheen.  By scientific means, anodizing is a process of treating metal to prevent corrosion and wear.  My hope is that JB is playing up this theme by sneaker means and perhaps these babies won't crease too much.  But only time and wear, will tell.  As of right now, no specific release dates are available, but I'm guessing retailers and online shops should b receiving their product in early November.  Be sure to check back with SneakHerbox for more pictures and updated information.

Air Jordan XIII (13) Retro GS - Black/Voltage Cherry - White Holiday 2010

2010 just might be the year of the Air Jordan 13. If you’ve read my JB 2010 Upcoming Releases post (I certainly hope you have :] ) you already know that the Flint and White/Red 13s are scheduled to release near year-end. You may have ALSO heard about the Black/Voltage Cherry - White colorway set to drop in GS sizes only. Wellz, we finally get an actual look at this pair and I must say I am impressed! Sporting a similar 3M underlined black mesh shroud seen on the “Bred 13” model. The color placement on this GS shoe is very similar to the “All-Star” 13s set to drop early next year – obvious differences being the use of pink instead of red on the outsole and a pink sockliner. iDIGs! With the release date being more than 3 months away (December 18th), I am anxiously awaiting the drop – how about you?
